Chris Price Appointed as Community Project Officer at Chasetown FC

Chasetown Football Club is proud to announce the appointment of Chris Price as our new Full Time Community Project Officer — a key role that underlines the club’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships with the local community.

In fact, Chasetown FC is one of the first non-league clubs in the county to have a designated full-time Community Project Officer, demonstrating once again that the Scholars are at the forefront of investment in our community and the wider local area.

Chris joins us with a strong background in community development and a genuine passion for football. He is no stranger to Chasetown, having already played an important role in helping us establish and grow our thriving Disability Programme. His appointment marks another exciting step forward as we expand our outreach, develop new partnerships, and create inclusive opportunities for people of all ages across Chasetown, Burntwood, and the surrounding areas.
In his new role, Chris will be responsible for designing and delivering a wide range of community-based projects. These will include engagement with local schools, care homes, health and wellbeing initiatives, and events designed to bring fans and families even closer to the club.

Chris Price said: “It’s a real honour to join Chasetown FC in this capacity. I’ve been involved with the club for three years now and have seen first-hand the impact it has on the community. The local area has really bought into what we want to build, and I strongly believe this is just the beginning. I’m passionate about connecting people through football, and I see huge potential here to build something truly impactful — from engaging more young people in the game, to supporting local residents, to making the club more accessible for everyone. I’m really excited to get started.”

General Manager Peter Bailey added: “Chris is without doubt the best person for this role at Chasetown FC. He has already shown incredible commitment to the club and has been instrumental in many of our recent successes. We know he will make a huge impact on all the projects we’re moving forward with. More importantly, Chris is an outstanding individual who embodies the values of this club and shares our vision for the future.”
At Chasetown FC, we recognise the vital role football plays in creating unity, opportunity, and a sense of belonging. Chris’s energy and experience will be instrumental in ensuring the club continues to grow as more than just a matchday destination — but as a year-round hub of community activity.

Please join us in giving Chris a very warm welcome to the Scholars family!
