Chasetown FC is proud to announce that we have been recognised with two prestigious accolades at the Staffordshire FA Awards 2025—Chasetown Youth FC has won Club of the Year and Disability Coach of the Year[/b], awarded to our inspirational coach, Chris Price.
These awards reflect the incredible work and commitment shown across all areas of our club—from our thriving youth setup to our inclusive and rapidly growing disability football programme.
Club of the Year: CHASETOWN YOUTH FC
Chasetown FC has been recognised as a model grassroots football club—welcoming, inclusive, and community-led. With over 60 youth teams, a growing girls’ and women’s programme, and football opportunities for all ages and abilities, we’ve built a club where everyone belongs.
Our impact includes:
• Saving 17 youth teams from folding last season.
• Launching new women’s and disability teams.
• Creating a full development pathway from age 4 to senior football.
• Supporting 30+ disability players and fielding multiple teams.
• Encouraging leadership from within—players becoming coaches and volunteers.
• Delivering the highest CPD coach engagement in the county.
We’re immensely proud to be called a “cornerstone of the community” by Staffordshire FA—and this award is a tribute to our 120+ volunteers, committed coaches, and incredible families who make Chasetown FC more than just a club.
Disability Coach of the Year: CHRIS PRICE
A special congratulations goes to Chris Price, the heart behind our growing disability football programme. Since launching in September 2023 with just two players, Chris has built something extraordinary—now supporting over 30 players across multiple age groups.
One of the teams even went undefeated to win their league in their debut season.
But Chris’s achievements go beyond results. He’s created a culture of belonging and belief—where players of all abilities feel confident, valued, and part of a true football family. From mascot opportunities with the first team to personalised video messages for injured players, his passion and care have made an unforgettable impact.
Anthony Fawcett, Chairman of Chasetown Youth F.C., said: "We are incredibly honoured to win the Staffordshire FA Club of the Year Award. What an achievement for the club and also Chris Price who has been recognised as Disability Coach of the Year by the County. It is fair to say we have not stood still since we were fortunate to win this accolade back in 2022, which is testament to the unbelievable volunteers that care so passionately for this club. It is more than just a football club. From board level to coaching staff, to those on the various committees to those that help with the day to day running of the club, this is for them and their unwavering support to create the best environment for our community. To the players and families that choose to be part of this club, we thank you too. This award is for all of us!"
Steve Jones, Chairman of Chasetown FC, said:
“These awards are a testament to the spirit of Chasetown FC. I couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved—from our volunteers and coaches to the families who support our players week in, week out. Chris Price’s work has been nothing short of inspirational, and this recognition is richly deserved.”
Peter Bailey, General Manager of Chasetown FC, added:
“Chris has transformed our disability football programme into one of the most inclusive, exciting, and progressive offerings in the region. His dedication, vision, and heart have changed lives—and that’s what Chasetown FC is all about. Our Youth Section team work tirelessly so to get this award so soon after only winning it a few years ago, is incredible. Well done to all involved” .
We thank Staffordshire FA for these honours and share them with our entire Chasetown community. Together, we’ll continue to raise the bar for grassroots football—on and off the pitch.
