The attacking midfielder joins the club having already gained valuable experience in senior football despite his young age. A product of the Port Vale academy, Cousins is a pacey and creative attacking player capable of operating in midfield or further forward, and has already featured for Port Vale's first team in the Football League Trophy.

Following successful loan spells with Kidsgrove Athletic and Stafford Rangers, where he continued his development and impressed with his performances in senior football, Cousins arrives with a strong understanding of the demands of the league and plenty of potential still to fulfil.

His energy, attacking threat and experience at this level make him an exciting addition to Carl Dickinson's squad ahead of the new campaign.
