Sporting Khalsa away preview

Sporting Khalsa away preview

Ryan Robinson24 Aug 2025 - 14:00

media team member Ryan Robinson looks ahead to our bank holiday clash away to Sporting Khalsa.

On Saturday Chasetown gave there all but only came away with a point in a 0-0 draw with Vauxhall Motors.

Meanwhile our hosts, Sporting Khalsa were in FA Trophy action at the weekend. Khalsa won 4-3 on penalties after a Taylor Townsend opener was cancelled out by a 91st minute equaliser for opponents Wellingborough Town.

In the league Khalsa sit tenth after two wins and a loss in there three games. These were a dominant 3-1 win over Congleton followed by a midweek 2-0 loss to Newcastle Town. The midlands side bounced back last Tuesday by defeating Nantwich Town 1-0.

Our previous visits to The Guardian Warehousing Arena were when we were in the Midlands division. These games were both played on boxing day and saw us lose 2-1 in 2021 after Jack Langston gave us the lead only for Tesfa Robinson and Jumaane Meggoe to score and give Khalsa the three points. In 2022 we earned a 1-1 draw as Aaron Ashford’s opener was cancelled out by Miracle Okafor. We will hope to make a lead stick in Willenhall this time out as Todd Ferrier makes his return to the ground of his former side.

Tickets for Monday are £9 adults, £6 concessions and £4 u18’s and can be prebooked at https://sportingkhalsafc.ktckts.com/event/kha2526h03/sporting-khalsa-v-chasetown-northern-premier-league- while kick-off is 3pm at The Guardian Warehousing Arena WV13 3BB.
