Chasetown secured a hard-fought 2–1 win over Halesowen in a physical and end-to-end encounter. After a slow start, the hosts grew into the game with dangerous attacks from Cater, Webster, and Wilding, creating several first-half chances. Halesowen’s Cowley struck the post early in the second half and equalised after a spell of pressure, but Chasetown responded quickly with a well-taken penalty from Langston who slotted left to restore the lead. Solid defending in the closing stages saw the Scholars hold on for a deserved victory.
