Chasetown looked to threaten back in the 26th minute as Matthew Hearsey rose to meet a high free kick, heading the ball just over the Boldmere crossbar.

The second half began with Chasetown threatening immediately in the 49th minute as Matthew Funge was played through twice on goal, though both efforts were flagged for offside.

Following an injury to defender Oliver Hayward, Chasetown made their first change in the 58th minute, introducing Jensen Tortoishell from the bench.

The deadlock was broken in the 60th minute when Boldmere's John Atherton found the net to give Boldmere a 1-0 lead.

Chasetown continued to push forward looking for an equalizer through the 73rd minute, but they were repeatedly kept out by a disciplined Boldmere defense.

Chasetown refreshed their lineup further in the closing stages, bringing on Lachlan Suffell for George Cater in the 80th minute and Zach Findlay for Jordan Evans in the 85th minute.

Despite three minutes of added stoppage time, Boldmere held firm to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory at full time.
