The game came to life in the second half and it took the Scholers twenty minutes of the half to draw level when young substitute Joey Buckley cut onto his left foot and curled a shot into the top left corner past a stationary Tony Thompson in the Bootle goal.
The scores were only level for five minutes however when Sean Williams hit an effort that trickled just over the goal line despite Pond’s last ditch efforts to clear.
As soon as the game started to look like a Bootle win Chasetown came to life and drew level through a Oli Hayward long throw that found its way through to youngster Alfie Taylor.
A draw means The Chase remain in 5th place and will next play when they host Clitheroe this Saturday the 21st of December.
