Chasetown continued to press, with Thompson seeing an effort whistle just over the bar, while crosses from Kirton and a strike from Langston both failed to find the target.
Stafford pulled a goal back when O’Neill rose to head the ball over Pond , setting up a nervy finish. However, Chasetown still held firm to see out the remainder of the game and secure the result.
