The match got off to an active start at the Acoustafoam Stadium.

Chasetown opened the scoring early in the 7th minute when Kyle Moseley was played in one-on-one with the Shifnal Town goalkeeper before firing his shot into the top left corner of the net to put Chasetown ahead at 1-0.

Shifnal Town responded well despite going a goal down, but their efforts were kept out by a solid Chasetown defensive display, including a crucial goal-line clearance by Chasetown's Oli Hayward in the 16th minute to maintain Chasetown's lead.

Chasetown continued looking to move forward when opportunities arrived, and their pressure paid off just before half-time in the 43rd minute following a corner kick that resulted in a scramble in the box, allowing Kevin Monteiro to fire the ball home and double Chasetown's lead to 2-0.

The referee blew for half-time shortly after, with Chasetown leading comfortably at 0-2.

Chasetown started the second half on the front foot, and just four minutes after the restart in the 49th minute, Chasetown worked the ball well into the box for Kyle Moseley to strike home his second and Chasetown's third goal of the match, making it 3-0.

Shifnal Town struck back in the 52nd minute to pull a goal back thanks to Andre Landell to make it 1-3.

As the game passed the hour mark, Chasetown continued to push forward while having to defend well at times against sustained Shifnal pressure.

Chasetown added a fourth goal in the 73rd minute when a header from Kyle Moseley played in Matt Hearsey, who calmly slotted the ball home to make it 4-1.

A minute later in the 74th minute Chasetown made a substitution for Matt Funge to come on for Kyle Moseley.

Chasetown made a substitution in the 77th minute has Marques Trowers comes on for Matt Hearsey.

Shifnal Town were reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute after Andre Landell recieves his second yellow card of the game and was sent off.

Chasetown made there final substitution of the game in the 87th minute has Jack Langston comes on for Sam Wilding.

Chasetown continued to work hard in both defence and attack through the closing stages, successfully seeing out the remainder of the match to secure a comprehensive 4-1 victory away from home.
