Leek opened the scoring in the third minute as Jake Dunwoody received the ball twelve yards out and drilled a low shot past Curtis Pond.
Chasetown levelled in the 13th minute. Jack Langston fired goalwards from the edge of the box and a wicked bounce took the ball over the dive of Chris Martin.
Just after the half hour Chasetown took the lead as James Dance headed back into the path of Langston who thumped his second goal of the game.
In an end to end first half, Leek equalised immediately with a close range effort from Tim Grice.
Midway through the second period the home side regained the lead with Grice netting his second of the game.
Grice had a gilt edged opportunity to seal his hat trick 6 minutes from time. Seizing on an under hit backpass he took the ball beyond Pond but dragged his effort wide of the post.
In the final minute of normal time, Rhys Thompson caused mayhem in the Leek six yard box and a mixture of Pierce Kiembi and Josh Craddock pushed the ball goalwards but Martin kicked off the line.
