

An end to end opening few minutes saw both sides create chances.
In the 20th minute, Chasetown came closest to opening the scoring with a low Josh Ruff shot that almost trickled beyond Liam Sharpe who got down late to save.
Just after the half hour the hosts broke the deadlock. Matt Curley forced a corner out of nothing and Nathan Rooney’s flag kick eluded James Dance but was volleyed past his own goalkeeper by Louis Guest.
Mitch Piggon was denied by a defensive block before Chasetown were awarded a spot kick after Guest tugged back Josh Ruff and Rooney converted to Sharpe’s right.
Just before the interval Chasetown were awarded a second spot kick for a foul right on the edge of the penalty area and Rooney despatched the kick in exactly the same spot as his first.
On the hour, Piggon was denied by Sharpe and when Seb Lake-Gaskin’s rebound was blocked Jack Langston extended Chasetown’s lead firing inside the near post.
Piggon turned provider for Chasetown’s fifth with superb hold up play before teeing up Ruff who calmly rounded Sharpe and rolled into an empty net.
