The first 20 minutes were very even with chances at either end. Curtis Pond saved well for the Scholars from Elliott Rokka and then Will Whieldon volleyed just wide.

Boro took the lead in the 26th minute when Harry Goode cleared off the line but Tunde Owolabi fired home the rebound.
