Chasetown bowed out of the Walsall Senior Cup 2-0 to Lye Town in a game with few chances.
The visitors had two chances to take the lead in the first half in quick succession when a shot cannoned off the crossbar and fell to their striker who could only direct it towards keeper Adam Jenkins who flicked it onto the crossbar.
Lye took the lead when a long shot from Harry Manton took a slight deflection and cannoned into the bottom right corner.
The Scholars struggled to create anything substantial and Nehemia Zazi came as close as anyone, when he struck a shot wide of the post.
Lye were good value for their second goal when Dylan Hart added a second midway through the second half.
