Bedworth took the FA Cup honours in this Evo-Stik Division 1 South battle.
Chasetown went close in the 15th minute. Matt Wood’s curling cross was met by a powerful Mitch Piggon header that rattled the crossbar.
A tight first half saw chances at a premium with Bedworth restricted to long range efforts over the bar from Jordan Archer and Jono Gould.
Bedworth took the lead 3 minutes into the second half. Luke Rowe teed up Dan Creaney who diverted the ball beyond Curtis Pond.
The Scholars almost levelled in the 55th minute. Wynter’s low shot on the turn was tipped wide by a diving save from James Martin.
Midway through the second half Bedworth were awarded a penalty after Rhys Thompson fouled Rowe but Creaney’s kick struck the base of the post despite sending Pond the wrong way.
Chasetown forced the play to push for an equaliser but a Simon Brown shot blocked for a corner and a Piggon effort saved by Martin were the closest the hosts came.
