A familiar name across the non-league game, Monteiro arrives with a wealth of experience and a strong reputation built over many years of consistent performances at this level.

The 32-year-old midfielder has represented a number of clubs across the National League System, including Walsall Wood, Boldmere St Michaels, Shifnal Town, Southport and Airbus UK. Comfortable in both central and attacking midfield roles, Monteiro brings physicality, composure and a wealth of know-how to the squad.

Having established himself as a reliable performer throughout his career, Monteiro's experience and leadership qualities will provide another valuable addition to Carl Dickinson's squad ahead of the new season.

Speaking on the signing, Dickinson said:
